Cajun Country Has Come to You

My first trip to Louisiana, the heart of Cajun country, was on a drive from California to Florida. We took some of the roads off the beaten path so we could see what the country really looked like. The first place we stopped to eat wasn't anything special, just a normal cafe, but the food was absolutely wonderful. I was shocked. No matter where we stopped to eat, even if it looked like a dump, the food was delicious. The crayfish and seafood were incredible and the people were a delight.
